Faster summaries on older phones

We rebuilt the step that turns a transcript into a summary. It now works through the transcript in chunks while the recording is still being saved, instead of waiting for the full file.

What you will notice

• A one hour meeting is summarized in about 40 seconds on an iPhone 13 or a Pixel 7, down from about two minutes.

• Battery use during summaries dropped by roughly a third.

• Nothing changes in the result: same sections, same action items.

If you still see slow summaries, check that T2 is allowed to run in the background. You find this setting under Settings, Battery.
